Founded in 2007 by Michael Kydd, testicular cancer survivor and rib festival enthusiast, Nuts4Ribs is the only ribfest in Canada that directly supports testicular cancer research & awareness. Driven by passion and personal testicular cancer experiences, the goal of Nuts4Ribs is to educate men about testicular cancer while bringing some of Nova Scotia's most well known chefs and rib aficionados together. This year’s event will take place on August 22, 2009 on the Halifax waterfront next to the Waterfront Warehouse and will include: Children’s Fun Zone, Cojones Cook-Off Challenge, Rib-Eating Contest, Live Musical Entertainment, HOG Show’n’Shine, Second Annual Nuts4Ribs Regatta hosted by Dartmouth Yacht Club and Inaugural 3-on-3 Ball Hockey Tournament.
